French Bronze Plant Stand 54” High Louis XV Style Winged Goddesses

ITEM DESCRIPTION:
An enormously impressive stand with elegance and functionality. Will make your home a work of art. Made of bronze with leather wrapped columns. Bronze winged goddesses, swags and a bowl with fenestrated hearts. Uncompromising quality. This classic torchere is made in a Louis XV, French Empire style. Is attributed to Maitland Smith or possibly Theodore Alexander. It is expertly hand crafted with a tripod form with two stretchers, all bronze. In excellent condition with period wear and patina, consistent with age and use. The bowl has verdigris inside and there are spots of verdigris on the winged figures. It weighs about 80lbs. No serious damage or repairs.
